Walking Hill Guide – MacDonald Walks
Walking in Scotland is one of the most enjoyable things you must do – the completion of a good days walk is fun and a great achievement – you have to take a guided walk in Scotland!
Food and drink and Scotland in a walk!
We know our countryside well and we can quickly get you out of the city, into open space for a great walk in the Scottish hills.
For instance, on our Edinburgh Hills walks, there are stops at view points for photographs along the way as you look back to the full panorama of Edinburgh City, Arthur’s Seat, the coast and the wonderful landscape of lowland Scotland. On a good day Ben Lawers, the highest mountain in the Southern Highlands above Loch Tay can be glimpsed.
Our guides are fully qualified Walking guides, with appropriate Health and Safety Qualifications as well as an excellent knowledge of the areas.
We work with local people to plan meals in local restaurants, hotels and pubs after the walk, offering the opportunity to sample Scottish cuisine, whisky tasting in Edinburgh and Scottish hospitality.
